Need More Block
A voxel sandbox — dig, build, create.
About
About this game
A sandbox game where you freely explore procedurally generated voxel terrain. Dig blocks and stack them anywhere to build structures of your own while day and night cycle over the world. Your worlds are saved locally in your browser, so you can pick up right where you left off.

Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Fixed: the ambient occlusion added in 0.3.10 was invisible on screen — the desktop-default Smooth Lighting setting was flattening the shading and hiding it. Contact shadows where blocks meet are now actually visible and stronger. Toggle them with the Smooth Lighting setting.
- v0.3.10
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Added Minecraft-style smooth lighting (ambient occlusion): soft contact shadows where blocks meet, so the world reads as solid and defined. Textures unchanged.
- v0.3.9
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Combined the loading screen with the branded NMB screen: NMB logo and progress on top, play NMR in the middle while you wait, then press Start to enter NMB.
- v0.3.8
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
You can now play NMR (the runner game) while NMB loads; press Start to jump in when it is ready.
- v0.3.7
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Shows an NMB loading screen with a progress bar while the game starts, instead of a blank screen.
- v0.3.6
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Rebuilt the block textures into a clean voxel look — unified palette, seamless (no visible grid) surfaces, dense leaves, and proper wood grain on planks and logs. Replaces the rough 0.3.5 textures.
- v0.3.5
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Texture attempt (refined in 0.3.6).
- v0.3.4
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Smoothed the choppy walking and jumping. The renderer now interpolates between the physics updates (20 per second), so movement and jumping look as smooth as looking around, at your display refresh rate.
- v0.3.3
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Greatly reduced texture shimmer (distant blocks crawling) — mipmaps, smoother minification filtering, and edge anti-aliasing (MSAA) make the view much steadier and easier on the eyes, while nearby blocks stay crisp.
- v0.3.2
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
On browsers that cannot start graphics, NMB now shows a clear reason and how to fix it instead of a black screen.
- v0.3.1
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Fixed a black screen that froze the game on privacy-hardened browsers (e.g. LibreWolf) — these now automatically fall back to a single-core run. Pressing ESC once during play now opens the pause menu immediately.
- v0.3.0
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Real multithreading — uses multiple CPU cores at once for smoother play. NMB now runs full-page on its own dedicated address, and your saved worlds are kept on this device. (Saves from before this version may not carry over.)
- v0.2.0
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Multithreading and major performance improvements — multi-core world gen/rendering, optimized rendering, adaptive quality, fullscreen, ESC pause.
- v0.1.1
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
Fixed the inverted horizontal mouse look, the view flipping when looking straight down, and the cursor escaping the play area while looking. Also fixed Korean text showing as blank boxes on the Settings and Save/Load screens.
- v0.1.0
Released 2026-06-14
Release notes
NMB's engine has been rebuilt from the ground up, laying a new foundation for deeper updates to come. The core experience stays the same: explore a procedurally generated voxel world, dig and place blocks, watch the day–night cycle, keep worlds saved in your browser, and rely on in-game error codes and bug reporting.
- v0.0.1
Released 2026-06-13
Release notes
First public prototype. Dig and build in a procedurally generated voxel world, with in-game error codes and bug reporting.
